How to make Foundation Crochet Stitches
If you’ve crocheted anything in your life, then you know that most projects start with creating a chain, and then working back into your chain with a specified stitch. Trying to work back into that chain, while keeping your chain straight, and keeping your tension can be downright frustrating, especially for larger projects. But, the good thing is there is another way – Foundation Crochet Stitches. This technique allows you to create your chain, and the first row of stitches all at the same time.
In my latest video, “How to make Foundation Crochet Stitches”, I will show you how to create a single, half double, and double crochet foundation chain! This method can be used in almost any projects, but is especially great for projects that need a bit more stretch like hats and garments. Since I’ve learned how to do foundation stitches, it’s saved me so much time and effort. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to use them!
