Hi, I’m Key — the hands, heart, and hook behind Designs by Key.

I’ve been crocheting for over 10 years, and it’s been a creative journey filled with learning, growing, and lots of yarn. My very first pattern was a little crochet pouch called the Lumberjack Pouch—which also happened to be my very first blog post. It was simple, scrappy, and imperfect—but it sparked something in me. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to share more.

Since then, I’ve expanded my skills and passion into creating crochet garments, which have truly become my favorite kind of project. There’s something so rewarding about turning yarn into something beautiful and wearable—something made with care, made by hand, and made to last.

But my journey hasn’t just been about patterns and pieces—it's also about people. One of my biggest goals is to promote size inclusivity in the fiber community. Crochet should be for everyone. No matter your shape, size, or skill level, you deserve to feel represented, supported, and inspired. I’m committed to creating and sharing patterns that reflect that belief.
